Gutter Guard Installation

While gutters divert water away from your home, leaves and roof debris can easily clog them and cause backups on your roof and around your home. Gutter guards can play a crucial role in solving this issue, but should not be installed in every situation. We recommend homeowners avoid solid cover or vinyl guards, and instead install mesh or pinhole style guards. The solid cover guards clog quickly and rainwater sheets off of them when it rains too hard, while the vinyl guards degrade in the sun and sag or break.

Homeowners should temper their expectations, even with the highest quality gutter guards. There is no such thing as a maintenance-free gutter guard, no matter what a sales person tells you. Debris is going to collect on top of the guard, and will need to be cleaned off at least once per year in order for the guard to function properly.
